Trades come first
Every decision is run past a real tradesperson. If it does not save them time on a Wednesday afternoon, we rethink it.
Ship every week
Tiny PRs, fast review, deploy on Friday. No epics that disappear into the void for a month.
Strong opinions, weakly held
We argue hard for the right thing then commit. Disagreeing in a doc is fine; sandbagging is not.
Boring tech, sharp craft
TypeScript, Postgres, Stripe. The interesting bit is the product, not the stack.

Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Own large surface areas of the platform — Jobs, Quotes, Invoicing, or Schedule. TypeScript end-to-end. Ship to production every week.
Mobile Engineer (React Native)
Build the native iOS and Android wrappers around Spanr. Offline-first sync, photo capture, push notifications, and biometric auth.
Trades Domain Expert (Part-time)
Worked on the tools? Run a trades business? Help us shape every certificate, compliance flow, and quote template by spending two days a week with the team.
Founding Designer
Set the visual and interaction bar across web, mobile, and our customer-facing certificates. Linear/Stripe-grade craft. Strong opinions, weakly held.
AI / ML Engineer
Push the AI quote builder, voice-to-quote, and the smart-schedule recommender. Anthropic-first stack. Latency, accuracy, and trust matter equally.
How hiring works
Four-step process. Two weeks end-to-end. Paid take-home, no whiteboarding.
Apply
Send a short note + CV / GitHub. We read every application within 3 working days.
Intro chat
30-min call with the hiring manager. Mostly about you — what you want, what you’ve built.
Paid take-home
4-hour exercise (paid £400) representative of real work. Discuss live for 60 mins.
Team day + offer
Half-day with two team members. Honest offer the same week. References last.
